Stone Troll Bowling by Epic Miniatures
Description
The ground shook before they saw it — a mountain of grey-green muscle and jagged stone hide, one colossal fist already swinging.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
This Stone Troll is caught mid-charge — one massive, boulder-encrusted fist drawn back and ready to flatten whatever has made the mistake of being nearby. The sculpt captures the creature at its most terrifying: weight shifted forward, foot raised mid-stride, jaws wide open in a roar that you can almost hear. The skin texture throughout is beautifully detailed — rough, lumpen hide with cracked stone-like plating across the knuckles, forearms, and shoulders that blurs the line between creature and landscape. A cluster of jagged spines erupts from the skull like a crown of shattered rock, and the barrel chest is wrapped in rugged, segmented armour plates that look scavenged rather than crafted.
This is a large-scale sculpt — noticeably bigger than a standard 32mm human miniature, which is exactly right for a creature that punches holes through dungeon walls for fun. The render in the image includes a scale reference alongside a small rider or companion piece (not included), making the troll's sheer bulk immediately obvious. Whether you're dropping it on the table as a mid-campaign shock encounter or painting it up as a centrepiece for your display shelf, this sculpt earns its space.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a large monster encounter that signals genuine danger
- Are running mountain, cave, or wilderness arcs where trolls make narrative sense
- Want a display-worthy centrepiece that rewards careful painting on the skin and stone textures
- Are building out a giant-creature encounter group
Encounter Hook: The village of Thornhallow has been paying tribute for three winters — grain, livestock, the occasional foolhardy adventurer who wandered in thinking they could negotiate. The tribute is late this year. The party is camped at the mountain pass when the Stone Troll arrives to collect personally — boulder-fist first, questions later.
