This Stone Giant miniature from Epic Miniatures is a towering, muscular figure caught mid-draw on a massive ornate bow — the bowstring pulled taut, biceps straining, every sinew of effort visible in the sculpt. The body is powerfully built, largely bare-chested, with deeply detailed geometric and rune-etched armour plates covering the shoulders, forearms, torso, waist, and greaves. The plating has an almost architectural quality — angular, interlocking chevrons and latticework panels that look as if they were hewn directly from stone rather than forged. A segmented chainmail skirt falls from the waist, torn at the hem, lending a war-worn edge to the figure's imposing silhouette.
The bow itself is an ornate, asymmetrical weapon with intricate flourishes at its tips — clearly a weapon of significance, not a simple hunting tool. The arrow shaft is depicted as a thick, rope-twisted bolt of considerable weight. The giant's head is framed by jagged shoulder guards that rise above the jawline, and the face carries a focused, grim intensity. Viewed from behind, the latticed back armour and broad, muscle-defined torso are equally impressive, making this a miniature that rewards the painter's attention from every angle.
On a 76.5mm base, this is a genuinely large model — properly scaled as a Huge creature for your encounters. The sculpt is designed to dominate the table and command attention on a display shelf in equal measure.
Well suited for adventurers who:
- Need a formidable Huge-sized giant for D&D 5e or Pathfinder encounters
- Want a centrepiece model with exceptional surface detail for painting projects
- Are running mountain, highland, or elemental stone-themed campaigns
- Collect large-scale fantasy miniatures for display alongside their gaming collection
Encounter Hook: The party rounds a mountain pass and finds the road blocked — not by a rockslide, but by a Stone Giant seated cross-legged, his ornate bow resting across his knees. He has not moved in three days. Whatever he is waiting for, it approaches from the direction the adventurers just came from.
