Description

Seated in dignified silence, the fox idol holds its ceremonial key as if guarding the threshold between the mortal world and whatever lies beyond.

  • ✔ Resin terrain piece, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
  • ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
  • ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama

This sculpt captures the serene authority of a divine animal guardian — part deity, part sentinel. Modelled in a stylised low-relief aesthetic that evokes ancient stone carvings, the fox sits upright on a tiered plinth, a geometric key clasped in its maw and flowing decorative motifs carved into its flanks. It reads equally well as a sacred idol in an Egyptian-inspired tomb, a spirit shrine in a Far Eastern wilderness setting, or a mysterious artefact at the heart of a dungeon puzzle room.

As scatter terrain it pulls serious weight — adding narrative weight and visual focus to any encounter space. As a display piece, it stands on its own with real presence. DMs building encounter maps around divine or spirit-realm themes will find it immediately at home.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Are building Egyptian, Far Eastern, or spirit-realm encounter maps
  • Want a distinctive idol or shrine centrepiece for a dungeon room
  • Need a prop that doubles as a puzzle artefact — what does the key unlock?
  • Are painting dioramas with ancient or ceremonial themes
  • Collect atmospheric scatter terrain for immersive battle maps

Encounter Hook:
The party enters a sealed antechamber to find a stone fox idol seated at the far end, a carved key clenched between its teeth. The door behind them has already shut. An inscription on the plinth reads: "Give back what was taken, and the way forward opens." The rogue remembers pocketing something unusual three rooms ago.
