Description

The columns of the old temple still stand — cracked and worn, but stubbornly upright, as if the stones themselves refuse to forget what once stood here.

  • ✔ Resin terrain piece, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
  • ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
  • ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama

This weathered stone column is the kind of scatter terrain that quietly transforms a battle map. Stack-bonded stonework rises from a stepped base to a fractured capital, each block bearing the texture of centuries of wear. Whether it marks the remnants of a forgotten shrine, the entrance to a dungeon antechamber, or the crumbling nave of a ruined cathedral, this piece earns its place on any tabletop. Unpainted straight from the studio, it takes a drybrush and wash with ease — aged stone effects practically paint themselves on this level of surface detail.

This is the kind of terrain piece that DMs reach for again and again. Use it as hard cover in a combat encounter, dress a dungeon room with a line of them flanking a dais, or place a single column in the middle of a plaza to hint at a civilisation long since fallen. It works just as well as a display or diorama prop for painters looking for a characterful base element.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Want to add convincing architectural detail to dungeon or ruin encounters
  • Need scatter terrain that doubles as functional hard cover on the battle map
  • Are building a ruined temple, ancient crypt, or crumbling keep as a campaign set-piece
  • Enjoy painting and want a piece with strong surface texture to work with
  • Collect display terrain alongside their miniatures

Encounter Hook:
The party steps into the vaulted ruin and finds three of these columns still standing in a rough triangle — each one carved with a different symbol of a god long since struck from the histories. At the centre, a faint magical glow pulses between them. The rogue recognises one symbol. The cleric recognises another. Neither of them says anything. The third symbol, none of them have seen before.

Scaled to 32mm. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming. The base is attached to the model as shown. As with all hand-finished pieces, minor surface variations may be present — these are easily tidied up and do not affect the character of the piece.
