Description

The column fell long before the party arrived — but whatever brought it down clearly wasn't finished with this place.

  • ✔ Resin terrain piece, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
  • ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
  • ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama

This broken stone column capital captures the character of a ruin that has seen centuries of neglect, conflict, or something far worse. The blocky masonry is cracked and worn, with the capital tilted and partially collapsed — exactly the kind of detail that tells your players this location has a history. Whether it's the remnants of a crumbling dungeon hall, a desecrated temple, or a battlefield still littered with the architecture of a fallen civilisation, this piece earns its place on your table.

As scatter terrain, it's the sort of piece that rewards attentive players and rewards Dungeon Masters even more. Drop it into a ruined courtyard, a subterranean chamber, or the nave of a long-abandoned chapel and the scene immediately reads as lived-in and broken. It's also a rewarding piece to paint — the rough stone texture and chipped edges hold washes beautifully and reward dry-brushing for a convincing aged-stone finish.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Build atmospheric battle maps for dungeon crawls, ruins, or temple encounters
  • Want scatter terrain that adds genuine narrative weight to a scene
  • Enjoy painting terrain and want a piece with satisfying surface texture
  • Are building a display diorama set in a ruined or ancient setting

Encounter Hook:
The party has tracked the cult to the ruins of the old temple — but as they fan out across the shattered floor, one rogue notices that the fallen column capital near the altar isn't covered in dust. Someone has been moving it. Beneath it, freshly scraped into the flagstone, is a summoning circle still faintly warm to the touch.

Scaled to 32mm and suited to both gaming and display collecting. The piece prints as seen — no separate base required. Ready for priming and painting straight out of the box, or use it unpainted for an immediate grimdark stone aesthetic.
