This is no ordinary hot air balloon. The sculpt captures a gloriously over-engineered steampunk airship in miniature: a large ribbed envelope bound by cross-braced bamboo struts, draped with intricate chain-link netting, and crowned with decorative X-lashed fastenings. Below it hangs a sturdy multi-tiered gondola, braced by turned pillar supports and capped with bulbous counterweights at each corner — every detail speaking to a world where engineering and adventure collide somewhere above the clouds.
Whether your party is staging a daring heist aboard a docked airship, pursuing a smuggler's vessel over rooftops, or simply adding vertical drama to a city encounter, this piece commands the table. It's equally at home on a display shelf, where it reads as a complete scene in its own right — a centrepiece for steampunk dioramas and sky-faring collectors alike.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Run airship campaigns or steampunk-flavoured city adventures
- Want a standout centrepiece for battle maps with vertical terrain
- Are building display dioramas with a Victorian fantasy or arcane-industrial theme
- Enjoy painting ambitious set-piece models with rich surface texture
Encounter Hook:
The party has three rounds before the balloon lifts off — and the smuggler captain at the helm has already cut two of the four mooring lines. The crates stacked in the gondola bear the seal of the Thieves' Guild. Someone important wants those crates, and someone even more important wants them destroyed.
Scaled to 32mm and printed as a substantial centrepiece model. The piece arrives ready for priming and painting, or can be used as-is straight from the box. Some minor surface marks from the printing process are possible; these are easily tidied up before painting.
