Mia Kay's Steampunk Clockwork Dragon is a masterwork of mechanical menace. Enormous interlocking cogs and drive-shafts run along its spine and wings, its ribbed neck craning with predatory intent atop a wheeled platform base bristling with mechanical detail. This is no ancient wyrm sleeping on a gold hoard — this is a constructed engine of destruction, wound tight and ready to move. Whether you frame it as a rogue arcane construct, a gnomish war-machine escaped from its handlers, or a god-killer built in a long-forgotten foundry, this sculpt brings something genuinely distinct to the table.
The wing assembly in particular shows off the mechanical theme beautifully — each membrane is braced with rods and joints, its movement implied by the engineering rather than magic. As a centrepiece for steampunk, artificer, or industrial-fantasy campaigns, this dragon earns its place at the head of any encounter — or the centre of any display shelf.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Run artificer-themed campaigns or steampunk settings
- Need a commanding boss monster that reads differently from traditional dragons
- Want a large-scale display piece with serious visual impact
- Are building encounters around constructs, war machines, or rogue creations
- Enjoy painting highly detailed mechanical surfaces — this one rewards every layer
Encounter Hook:
The artificers' guild has put out a bounty — the prototype designated MK-VII escaped the Ironspire workshops three nights ago, leaving four dead and a hole in the outer wall. It was last seen heading towards the lower city, its gearwork still running, its directive unknown. The party finds it crouched in the old foundry district, cogs turning slowly, both heads tracking their approach in perfect unison.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The scenic wheeled platform base is included. The mini arrives ready for priming and painting, though it looks striking unpainted too. As with all resin prints, minor support marks may occasionally be present — these are easily tidied up before painting.
