Steampunk Bird Perch by Mia Kay M3DM

- ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
- ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
- ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama
This Steampunk Bird Perch is a distinctive piece of scatter terrain that brings the collision of arcane engineering and organic form to your tabletop. The sculpt features a cross-brace of bone-like struts wrapped in coiling pipes and riveted rods, rising from a bolted mechanical base studded with hex nuts and cylindrical fittings. It sits somewhere between a wizard's workshop fixture and a construct's roosting post — the kind of detail that makes a scene feel genuinely inhabited rather than merely dressed.
Whether placed in a gnomish artificer's laboratory, a steampunk city tavern, an arcane prison, or a strange clockwork dungeon, this perch reads immediately as a world with history and craft behind it. Paint it in aged brass, verdigris copper, or bleached bone and corroded iron — the sculpt rewards either approach. It works equally well as an atmospheric gaming piece or a collector's display centrepiece.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Are building immersive steampunk, artificer, or magitech encounter spaces
- Want scatter terrain that reads as lore-rich rather than decorative filler
- Are constructing diorama scenes featuring constructs, familiars, or arcane workshops
- Enjoy painting character into environmental props as much as into character minis
Encounter Hook:
The party enters the derelict laboratory of Aldric Voss, artificer and known dealer in illegal constructs. The room is cold, the equipment smashed — but perched on a riveted stand in the corner sits a mechanical crow, motionless, one glass eye tracking the door. It holds a copper scroll case in its beak. The message inside is addressed to whoever opened this room first.
