Description
It has stood in this chamber since before the dungeon was built — and some nights, when the torches gutter low, it seems to have moved.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
Statues are the dungeon's oldest liars. They stand sentinel in crypt alcoves and throne room niches, draped in centuries of dust, radiating a silence that feels just a little too intentional. This sculpt from Novaminis captures that unsettling stillness — a stone figure poised between decoration and threat, as likely to be a trap as a trophy.
Whether you place this on the table as atmospheric scatter terrain, a puzzle prop, or the awakening heart of an Animated Object encounter, it earns its keep. A Dungeon Master who drops this into a chamber is making a promise: something here is not as inert as it appears. That promise alone is worth the encounter.
The piece also works beautifully as a display element — a component in a diorama, a painter's study in stone textures and aged patina, or a centrepiece for a graveyard or crypt scene. Stone effects reward dry-brushing and washes enormously, and this sculpt gives you the surface area to experiment.
Suited for adventurers who:
- Want atmospheric scatter for crypts, dungeons, or urban ruins
- Are building an Animated Object encounter or statue puzzle
- Need a graveyard centrepiece for a gothic horror campaign
- Enjoy painting stone and weathered textures as a technical challenge
- Are assembling a display diorama with period-appropriate detail
Encounter Hook
The party enters a circular chamber. Four identical statues ring the walls, arms raised, faces blank. The wizard's Detect Magic lights up all four. The cleric notices fresh chisel marks at the base of the one nearest the exit — someone, recently, tried to move it. The rogue is already counting exits.
