The Stained Glass Angel is unlike any conventional celestial sculpt. Her form is wreathed in enormous mechanical wings composed of interlocking spokes, wheels, and outstretched ribs — imagery drawn from the ancient, wheel-within-wheel iconography of biblical angels, beings so alien in their majesty that their first words to mortals were always: do not be afraid. A spiked crown of golden rays rises from her head, and her robes flow to a serrated, circular base that speaks of celestial architecture rather than earthly ground. She stands utterly composed, arms slightly open — neither welcoming nor threatening, but inevitable.
For Dungeon Masters, she works as a Solar, a Deva, a divine arbiter, or even something more unsettling — a fallen celestial whose wings never lost their grandeur. For collectors and painters, the layered geometry of those wheel-wings offers a genuinely distinctive canvas. Washes, edge highlights, and Object Source Lighting effects on the crown spokes alone would make this a showpiece on any shelf.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a celestial NPC with genuine visual authority — not just a figure with bird wings
- Are running divine campaigns, planes-hopping adventures, or encounters with agents of the gods
- Want a display piece that reads as both sacred and strange
- Are painting something that rewards careful highlighting across intricate geometric forms
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the site of an ancient temple to find the Stained Glass Angel already there — standing motionless in the nave, her wheel-wings slowly rotating. She does not speak first. She is waiting for someone in the group to confess something. She already knows what it is.
Details
Printed at 32mm scale. The model with the detailed base comes as a single piece. The model with the plain base ships with the base detached for easy gluing. Supports are removed before dispatch; minor marks from the printing process may occasionally remain and can be tidied up during prep.
