Description
Deep beneath the roots of the forest, where sunlight is a distant memory and the air hums with spores, the Sporelings dance — cheerful and strange, ancient and new all at once.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Sporeling is a chibi-style myconid creature with an oversized mushroom cap hat, pudgy round body, and arms raised wide in a pose that reads as equal parts joyful and unsettling. Two sculpts are shown here — a smaller Sporeling and a larger companion — both sharing the same delightfully round proportions, closed eyes, and wide grins that hint at something far older than their cute exterior suggests. Myconids in D&D 5e are Plant creatures native to the Underdark, communicating through spore clouds and forming silent, meditative colonies. A Sporeling fits naturally as a young or lesser myconid — an unusual NPC, a Druid's companion, or a creature at the heart of a fungal mystery your party won't soon forget.
Whether you're building an Underdark encounter, introducing a myconid sovereign's court, or simply want something wonderfully weird on your shelf, this sculpt brings enormous character to the table. It works just as well as a display piece as it does in active play — the charm of the design makes it a talking point wherever it lands.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Are running Underdark campaigns or Out of the Abyss-style adventures
- Want a friendly or ambiguous NPC that unsettles and delights in equal measure
- Love chibi or stylised sculpts alongside their more realistic miniatures
- Are building a myconid colony encounter or fungal forest scene
- Collect display miniatures with genuine personality
Encounter Hook:
The party hears soft, rhythmic tapping echoing through the cave tunnel. Rounding a stalagmite, they find a circle of Sporelings with their arms raised and eyes closed, swaying in unison around a glowing spore cloud that shows, in vivid clarity, the faces of people who entered these tunnels and never returned.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The model with the detailed base comes as a single piece. The model with a plain base is supplied with the base detached for easy gluing. Both variants are supplied ready for priming and painting, or can be used straight from the box. As with all resin prints, minor imperfections or residual support marks may occasionally be present — these are easily tidied up and do not affect the final painted result.
