Sphinxes in D&D are among the most formidable creatures a party can face: ancient intelligences bound to sacred places, capable of reading intent as easily as most creatures read faces. Tizariel embodies all of that authority. Her sculpt captures the classical gynosphinx form with tremendous presence — a woman's face framed by an ornate feathered crown, broad wings spread wide in challenge or warning, and a lion's powerful haunches poised atop a richly carved ceremonial plinth. Every surface rewards close inspection: layered featherwork across the wings, scrollwork and scale patterns on the chest armour, and a decorated base featuring what appears to be a carved eye — a fitting symbol for a creature that sees all and forgets nothing.
Whether you're placing her at the entrance to a long-forgotten temple, using her as the centrepiece of an intelligence-based encounter, or simply adding an extraordinary piece to your display shelf, Tizariel carries weight in any setting. Encounter Hook:
The party reaches the sealed vault of the Architect-Gods and finds not a lock, but Tizariel — coiled atop the threshold stone, wings half-spread, watching. She has held three riddles in reserve for three thousand years. Two parties have answered them correctly. She does not mention what happened to the others.
Details
Tizariel is supplied at 32mm scale. The model and its detailed ceremonial base are separate pieces designed to be joined with super glue — the base features carved stonework and a prominent eye motif that complements the sculpt beautifully. The model is produced from high-quality resin, fully cured and with supports removed. As with all hand-finished pieces, minor surface marks may occasionally occur and are straightforward to address before priming.
