Description
The grasslands trembled as the war-rhino lowered its horn — and the rider's spear arm swept forward in a single decisive arc that ended the parley before it had begun.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
This large-format mounted miniature puts a commanding warrior astride a fully equipped war-rhino, one arm levelled forward with a long spear couched for a thundering charge. The rider wears layered travel clothing adorned with beaded jewellery, rope-bound bracers, and a billowing cape swept back by the momentum of the beast beneath them — hair braided high, expression focused and fierce. Every detail of the saddle is present: rolled bedrolls, packed saddlebags, rope lashing, and a quiver of arrows secured at the flank. The rhino itself is rendered with deeply textured hide, a fitted bridle with studded metalwork, and muscular legs mid-stride — this is an animal trained for war, not the wilderness.
The sculpt sits on a large 51mm oval base and carries real visual weight — the kind of piece that commands attention at the centre of a hex map or at the heart of a display shelf. Whether you want to run this as a mounted knight, a tribal warchief, or a roving plains mercenary, the sculpt has enough personality and detail to support any read you bring to it.
As a multipart sculpt with both supported and unsupported variants available, it gives painters the choice of cleaner print surfaces or easier post-processing, depending on your preferred workflow.
Suited for adventurers who:
- Need a large-scale mounted encounter piece that doesn't look like a stock cavalry figure
- Are building a grassland warband, a plains-dwelling faction, or a nomadic mercenary company
- Want a centrepiece model that rewards careful layered painting — textured hide, beaded detail, and billowing fabric all offer distinct challenges
- Are running a campaign encounter where a rider charges through the party's flank at full speed
Encounter Hook
The party has been hired to negotiate safe passage through the Thornveld Flats — but before the first word of diplomacy is spoken, a single war-rhino crests the ridge, its rider's spear already aimed at the party's ranger. The warchief doesn't negotiate. She charges. The party has one round to decide: stand, scatter, or make a very persuasive Charisma check.
