The Spawn of Yig is one of those creatures that rewards a closer look — and then immediately makes you regret it. This sculpt captures the thing mid-sprint, one impossibly long arm outstretched and raking forward with hooked claws, the other drawn back in a coiling recoil. Its lean, near-humanoid frame is taut with unnatural muscle, but the torso is where the horror lives: a cascade of concentric mouths and eye-rings erupt across its chest and abdomen, each ringed with teeth and staring blankly outward. The face above is equally unsettling — flattened, ridge-browed, and skull-like, with more teeth than any jaw should comfortably hold.

The rear of the sculpt shows the creature's sinuous, almost serpentine back — rippling with lean muscle, the neck trailing a curtain of limp tendrils or vestigial appendages that hang like a grotesque mane. It is a creature that has no comfortable angle, which makes it a gift for painters and Dungeon Masters alike. Every surface offers texture and contrast: smooth, taut limbs against the writhing mass of mouths at the centre.

The party has tracked a rogue cultist of Yig to a collapsed temple beneath the river district. They descend expecting a lone fanatic — but the ritual is already complete. The cultist kneels, weeping and motionless, in the centre of the chamber. Something that used to resemble a person rises from the shadows behind him, arm outstretched, mouths opening across its chest in a wet, overlapping chorus. The cultist does not run. The Spawn of Yig has no need for him any more.
