Description

Something hauled itself up from a depth that has no name — and whatever it was when it descended, it is not that any more.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Spawn of the Abyss is a creature of pure biological wrongness: a serpentine body coiled on segmented, claw-tipped limbs, a broad maw bristling with multiple rows of teeth, and a crown of curved bone-like appendages that seem to serve no natural purpose. Dorsal spines flare outward from its warty, nodule-covered hide, and its eyes — small, vestigial, scattered — suggest a creature that has long since stopped needing to see in any conventional sense. This is not a predator shaped by evolution. This is a predator shaped by something that doesn't care about evolution.

Two distinct poses are captured in this range — one with the creature low and coiled, almost patient, and one rearing upward with jaws stretched wide in full strike. Both convey the same wrongness, the same sense that the laws of anatomy took one look at this thing and decided to go home early. Equally at home as a dungeon centrepiece or a brooding presence on a display shelf, this sculpt rewards painters who enjoy textural work: the knobbly hide, ridged tail segments and layered fangs give brushes plenty to explore.

Well-suited for adventurers who:

  • Run Underdark campaigns and need a creature that belongs nowhere near the surface
  • Want a memorable encounter boss that doesn't look like anything in a standard bestiary
  • Are building a cosmic horror, Far Realm, or aboleth-adjacent story arc
  • Enjoy complex paint projects with varied textures and layered detail
  • Collect aberrations, deep-sea monstrosities, or eldritch creature minis for display

Encounter Hook:
The scouting party heard the dripping before they saw it — a steady, rhythmic sound from the far end of the cavern, like something wringing water from a body far too large. When their torchlight finally reached the source, the creature did not flinch. It simply turned three of its smallest eyes toward them and opened its mouth. The stalactites above it had already begun to crack.
