The Sorrowsworn are the Shadowfell made manifest — emotions given terrible flesh. This one, the Hungry, is perhaps the most viscerally unsettling of them all. Its body is a bloated, muscle-knotted mass, hunched forward under the weight of its own gaping maw. Rows of mismatched fangs jut outward at every angle, and a thick, clawed limb curls beneath its belly, twitching with restless, desperate energy. There is no malice in the Hungry — only need, vast and bottomless and utterly beyond reason.
This is pose 02 of the Sorrowsworn range by Yasashii Kyojin Studio, captured mid-lunge with its tremendous jaw leading the charge. A second rear-angle sculpt reveals the creature's grotesquely swollen back and the hooked tail-claw trailing behind — detail that rewards painters who work on every surface. All three poses in the range stand approximately 15mm tall, making them Small-to-Medium creatures on the tabletop, perfectly scaled for a horde encounter or a single horrifying ambush.
Sought out by adventurers who:
- Run Shadowfell arcs, Ravenloft campaigns, or Domain of Dread adventures
- Want a creature that embodies psychological horror as much as physical threat
- Are building a Sorrowsworn encounter with multiple creature types on the table
- Collect and paint monster miniatures for display as well as play
Encounter Hook:
The party descends into the collapsed shrine to retrieve the missing pilgrim. They find her — or what remains of her — huddled in the corner, sobbing quietly. The Hungry crouches directly behind her, entirely still, waiting for the sound of their footsteps to stop.
Scaled to 32mm. Available with or without a plain black base — the base comes unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all hand-finished pieces, minor marks may occasionally remain and are straightforward to clean up. Fully cured and ready to prime.
