This is the Hungry Sorrowsworn, and it is unmistakable. The sculpt captures the creature mid-lunge: jaw stretched impossibly wide in a shrieking maw, one arm raised with curving talons splayed, the other reaching forward with hooked, grasping claws. Its body is emaciated and corded with tension, every tendon visible beneath taut skin, a clutch of bony spines erupting from its hunched shoulders. This is a creature defined entirely by craving — and the pose conveys exactly that frenzied, insatiable need. Standing at 36mm to the top of its raised claws, it cuts an imposing silhouette on the table.
In D&D 5e lore, the Hungry Sorrowsworn is a particularly brutal encounter — a relentless predator that grows stronger the more damage it absorbs, punishing cautious players and rewarding aggression in kind. Encounter Hook:
The village has been silent for three days. When the party finally enters, they find no bodies — only doors hanging open, meals abandoned mid-plate, and scratch marks clawed into every surface from the inside. Whatever drove these people to despair is still here, and it heard the adventurers arrive.
This miniature is scaled to 36mm (base to claw tip) and supplied unpainted, primed-ready. It can be ordered with or without a plain black round base — the base is supplied unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. As with all hand-finished pieces, minor marks from the printing process may occasionally be present; these are easily tidied up before painting.
