Snow Cyclops by Epic Miniatures

This is a large-size sculpt — the Snow Cyclops towers over standard 32mm figures in a way that immediately commands the table. His broad, hunched frame is wrapped in fur-trimmed bindings at the wrists and ankles, a rough hide loincloth knotted at the waist, and a single bandolier-style strap crossing his barrel chest. Threaded along that strap are three skulls — trophies, warnings, or perhaps just habit. His expression is one of weathered menace: a broad flat nose, a thick beard braided down his chest, and one heavy-lidded eye that has seen too many winters and not nearly enough prey.
The pose is confrontational without being theatrical — he stands with weight shifted forward, one arm hanging loose and the other raised slightly, a club or wrapped staff gripped at his side. There is nothing frantic about him. He is large enough that he does not need to rush. The detail work is exceptional throughout: the texture of the fur cuffs, the musculature beneath loose skin, the individual weave of the rope bindings, and the sculpted grain of the wooden weapon all reward careful painting.
As a large creature, the Snow Cyclops fits naturally into encounters designed around CR 6–10 giants and monstrosities. He reads equally well as a wandering predator, a glacier warden, or the brutish enforcer of a frost giant jarl.
This miniature is well suited to adventurers who:
- Run arctic, tundra, or mountain campaigns and need a commanding large-scale encounter piece
- Want a cyclops variant with a more savage, primal feel than the classical myth
- Are building out a giant-type warband or frost encounter group
- Enjoy painting characterful faces and weathered textures
- Display large-scale fantasy miniatures alongside their gaming collection
Encounter Hook: The party has been tracking a missing hunting patrol for three days across the frozen uplands. They find the patrol's camp — torn apart, fire extinguished, and the iron cookpot bent flat as though someone sat on it. Then the ground shakes, once, and something enormous steps out of the blizzard behind them.
