This Small Ionic Column from Mia Kay M3DM brings classical antiquity to your tabletop. Modelled after the elegant Ionic order — with its distinctive fluted shaft, tiered base, and characteristic scroll capitals — this piece evokes crumbling temples, imperial throne rooms, ruined plazas, and the sun-bleached courts of forgotten civilisations. Whether your campaign draws on Greek or Roman aesthetics, ancient elven architecture, or the marble halls of a planar citadel, this column grounds your scene in a way a flat battlemat never can.
As scatter terrain it earns its place twice over: as a line-of-sight blocker and cover piece during combat, and as a set-dressing element that tells your players exactly where they are before a single die is rolled. It paints up beautifully in stone grey, weathered marble, or sun-bleached ivory — and looks equally at home on a display shelf as it does in the middle of a deadly encounter.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Are building ancient temple, ruined city, or classical palace battle maps
- Want scatter terrain that adds genuine visual weight to an encounter
- Are creating dioramas or display scenes with a Greco-Roman or high fantasy aesthetic
- Need a reliable line-of-sight blocker that also looks the part
- Enjoy painting architectural pieces for their collection
Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to recover a stolen relic from the Temple of the Eternal Flame — but when they arrive, the priests are dead, the flames are out, and something enormous is moving between the columns. It hasn't noticed them yet. The columns are the only cover they have.
Scaled to 32mm. The model with a simple base is supplied as a single piece. The model with a plain base comes with the base detached and can be fixed in place with a small amount of glue. Supplied unprimed and unpainted, ready for your brushwork or usable as-is straight from the box.
