Cairns have stood at the crossroads of the living and the dead for millennia. On the tabletop, a well-placed stone marker like this one does quiet but powerful narrative work — it tells players that someone was here before them, and that whoever it was felt strongly enough to leave a mark. This is the first sculpt in our Small Cairn range from Novaminis, featuring a tall stack of naturally rounded stones with convincing surface texture across every layer, from the broad anchor stone at the base to the rounded capstone at the peak.

Whether it's marking a lonely roadside burial in a wilderness hex, a druidic waypoint deep in an ancient forest, or a suspiciously fresh mound in the middle of a dungeon corridor, this piece adds genuine atmosphere to any scene. Encounter Hook:
The ranger spots three cairns in a tight triangle at the edge of the tree line — each one freshly stacked, stones still damp from the stream. Someone built these within the last hour. A DC 14 Survival check reveals boot prints in the mud leading away from the centre of the triangle, but none leading in.

Scaled to 32mm to sit naturally alongside standard miniatures. Available with or without a plain black base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming; some minor clean-up of support marks may be needed, though we quality-check every piece before it leaves us.
