At the edge of the clearing, three poles rise from the earth — crowned with skulls, wrapped in rope and bone, and topped with the horned skull of something that should never have been hunted.

These are the markers of something territorial and deeply dangerous. Whether placed at the border of a goblin warband's camp, the entrance to a shaman's sanctum, or the outer boundary of a yuan-ti enclave, these skull poles carry a clear message: turn back. Each of the three sculpts in this set has its own distinct character — one bound with twisted rope and feathers, one bristling with iron spikes, and the tallest bearing a great horned beast skull flanked by carved wings and stacked with multiple human skulls. The detail on each pole is exceptional, with bark-like texture, knotted cordage, and trophies that reward a careful paint job.
For Dungeon Masters, these work as environmental storytelling pieces — scatter terrain that tells a story before a single die is rolled. For collectors and painters, they offer rich surface variety: bone, wood grain, rope, leather, and organic shapes all on a single base.

Encounter Hook:
The party has been following the trail for two days when they find three skull poles driven into the path ahead. A DC 14 Arcana check reveals the horned skull on the tallest pole belongs to a creature that should have been far too large to kill — and the rope binding the poles has been knotted with the same pattern as the cult sigil from the merchant's letter. Someone put these here recently. Someone who knew you were coming.
This set includes three skull pole sculpts, all scaled to 32mm. Base options are available with or without a plain black display base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. As with all our terrain pieces, these are ready to prime and paint straight out of the box, or can be used as-is for an unpainted bone-and-wood aesthetic.
