The Skull Lord is no mere skeleton — it is a convergence of three damned warlords fused into a single terrible body, each face still locked in the fury of its final defeat. This sculpt captures that dread magnificently: three distinct skull-faced heads cluster at the shoulders, a jagged antler-like dark crown of bone erupts above them, and one skeletal arm is raised mid-incantation whilst the other grips a towering staff topped with clutching skulls. The billowing cape sweeps dramatically behind, adding real weight and movement to the pose. At 49mm tall, this is an imposing presence on any encounter grid — every inch of it earned.
Whether you're placing it at the head of a shambling undead warband, seating it upon a throne of conquered kings, or painting it as the centrepiece of your Ravenloft display, this miniature demands attention without needing to ask twice. The back view reveals a beautifully sculpted flowing cloak with deep fabric folds that will reward layered painting, and the crown reads just as powerfully from every angle.
Built for adventurers who:
- Need a commanding boss monster for undead-themed D&D 5e or TTRPG encounters
- Are running Ravenloft, a necromancer's lair, or a cursed battlefield campaign arc
- Want a high-detail display piece that doubles as a genuinely threatening table centrepiece
- Love painting elaborate bone armour, billowing cloaks, and spectral energy effects
Encounter Hook:
The party has tracked the missing soldiers to the ruins of Fort Ashenveil — and found them still standing, hollow-eyed and armed, arrayed in neat rows before a figure wearing three faces and a crown of jagged bone. The Skull Lord turns all three heads in unison. It knew they were coming. It has been waiting.
Printed at 49mm tall (an imposing large-sized creature at 32mm scale). Available with or without a plain black display base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed in place with a small amount of glue. Every miniature is checked before dispatch, though the nature of high-detail prints means minor surface marks are occasionally possible; these are straightforward to clean up before priming.
