The Skeleton Werewolf Ranger is a harrowing fusion of two iconic horrors: the relentless undead and the savage lycanthrope. Where a living werewolf is driven by hunger and moon-madness, this creature is something older and quieter in its menace. Bone-framed beneath a tattered cloak, it lopes forward on clawed feet, a crude bone-handled axe raised in skeletal hands. The canine skull is angled low and forward — not snarling, but hunting. There's no rage here, only purpose. A necromancer's masterwork, or perhaps the cursed remnant of a ranger who never truly rested.

This sculpt by M3DM captures extraordinary anatomical detail — exposed vertebrae visible beneath the billowing cloak, articulated finger bones gripping the weapon shaft, and clawed feet breaking through the ground scatter of the base. Two poses are shown across the product images: the primary forward-lunging axe-bearer and a second variant in a more hunched, forward-stalking posture with a different weapon configuration. Both are rendered in the same distinctive style, making them a cohesive pair for encounter building or display. This listing is for the casual pose — axe raised, mid-stride, cloak trailing behind.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a genuinely unsettling undead boss or elite encounter monster
  • Are running a Ravenloft, curse-themed, or lycanthrope-focused campaign
  • Want a display piece that rewards close inspection with its anatomical detail
  • Are building a necromancer's warband with real visual variety

Encounter Hook:
The party tracks a series of disappearances to an overgrown ranger station at the forest's edge. Inside, they find journals describing a desperate lycanthropic curse — and outside, circling the treeline as dusk falls, something that was once the author of those pages closes in, cloak billowing, axe already raised.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. The model with a detailed base is supplied as a single piece; the version with a plain base comes with the base detached for easy gluing. Both are ready for priming and painting straight away, or can be used as-is directly on the table. Print quality is high-detail, and each piece is inspected before dispatch — minor support marks are possible but easily cleaned up.
