Skeleton Warrior 11 from Novaminis is a characterful undead infantry sculpt that goes far beyond the blank, interchangeable skeletons of lesser sets. This one has presence: a battered nasal helmet sits atop a grimacing skull, plate and lamellar armour clings to its frame in various states of ancient disrepair, and a heavy war axe is raised overhead in a pose caught mid-command — the free hand extended, one finger pointed forward as though directing the next wave of undead into battle. A tattered cape flows behind it, adding weight and drama to what is an unusually dynamic sculpt for a rank-and-file enemy.

The detail work rewards a careful painter. The armour plates show riveted construction throughout, with leather straps and buckles visible across the torso and thighs. The ribcage is exposed where the armour no longer covers, and bare bone shows at the shins, wrists, and feet — a nice reminder that no matter how well-equipped this warrior once was, decay has had its say. The axe head is substantial and heavy-looking, with a broad blade that will take edge highlights beautifully.
