Skeleton Warrior 10 is variation ten in Novaminis' growing undead infantry range, and it brings real character to what could easily be a throwaway encounter foe. This particular skeleton wears the remnants of a soldier's kit — studded leather armour with reinforced pauldrons, a battered cape that still drapes with grim purpose, and a close-fitted helm that frames that unmistakable grinning skull beneath. In one bony hand it grips a heavy hand axe; in the other, a broad, boss-studded shield held ready for another fight its body long ago forgot how to fear.
The sculpt is posed with a wide, grounded stance — legs set apart, weight forward, as if this warrior has been mid-advance for centuries and simply refuses to stop. The cape adds dramatic silhouette, and the layered armour details — riveted straps, cross-laced panels, articulated arm guards — give painters plenty of texture to work with. Washes and drybrushing will sing on a model like this.
Whether you're fielding a shambling warband at the edges of a crypt or placing a single sentinel as a graveyard centrepiece, Skeleton Warrior 10 holds its own both on the gaming table and on the display shelf. As the tenth variant in the series, it slots naturally into larger undead formations — each warrior in the range distinct enough to read as individual, cohesive enough to read as a unit.
This listing is available in two base options: a plain base variant for those who prefer to base their own miniatures, and a no-base variant for direct integration into custom scenic bases or dioramas.
- Works as rank-and-file muscle for a necromancer BBEG encounter
- A rewarding painting project — layered armour and fabric take washes beautifully
- Pairs with other numbered Skeleton Warriors to build a convincing undead warband
- Equally compelling as a lone guardian on a graveyard display shelf
Encounter Hook: The party descends into the Vault of the Pale Marshal and finds its entrance hall lined with armoured figures standing utterly still. When the last torch is placed in the sconce, the helmeted skulls all turn at once — and one, clutching a notched axe and a shield bearing a forgotten noble's crest, steps forward first.
