The Skeleton Commander is no shambling grave-risen conscript. This is a warlord who remembers what it was to be feared — and has lost nothing of that instinct in undeath. Clad in elaborately engraved plate armour, his broad pauldrons bearing circular medallions and intricate knotwork, he carries an enormous single-bladed axe with the casual authority of someone who has never needed two hands to end a fight. In his other hand he holds a great shield, its face covered in swirling carved reliefs, as though the artisans who made it knew the bearer would outlast the age. A tattered cloak billows behind him, ragged at the hem but unyielding in presence. He stands over a skull-strewn base — bones half-buried in the earth beneath his spiked plinth — a silent testament to every opponent who came before your party.
