This mounted skeleton warrior cuts an imposing figure — an armoured undead knight aboard a rearing skeletal warhorse, both rider and mount stripped down to gleaming bone yet somehow more threatening for it. The rider wears layered plate armour decorated with skull motifs, a horned helm, and a billowing cloak, sword levelled forward in a commanding charge pose. The warhorse beneath rears up on its hind legs, barding still strapped across its exposed ribcage, a crested skull-faced chanfron protecting what remains of its head.
The sculpt captures that particular dread of undead cavalry — the rattling inevitability of something that cannot be tired out, cannot be frightened, and does not feel the cold. Whether you're fielding it as a Death Knight's outrider, a Wight serving an ancient lich, or the vanguard of a necromantic army sweeping across the battlefield, this miniature brings serious presence to any encounter. The large 51mm oval base gives it the footprint it deserves, and the level of detail across both rider and mount rewards careful painting — chainmail, exposed vertebrae, sculpted barding, and that dramatic flowing cloak all offer excellent surfaces for washes and drybrushing alike.
This is a multipart miniature, giving you clean assembly and the option of a decorative base or a plain base to suit your basing style.
Well suited for adventurers who:
- Are building out a necromancer's undead warband or skeleton cavalry unit
- Need a mounted BBEG lieutenant or Death Knight for a climactic battle encounter
- Love painting undead with dramatic OSL, bone tones, or ghostly effects
- Want a display-worthy centrepiece that doubles as a serious gaming piece
Encounter Hook: The party crests the hill to find the valley below blanketed in fog — and emerging from it, the silhouette of a mounted figure in horned helm, sword raised, the unmistakable clatter of exposed bone echoing as the skeletal warhorse rears. The Death Knight does not speak. It simply charges.
