Every undead legion needs a standard-bearer, and this Skeleton Army Bannerman is precisely that — the grim, hollow-eyed herald who marches at the vanguard of a necromancer's host. Clad in articulated plate armour decorated with skull motifs, a crested helm, and a billowing battle-worn cape, this skeleton carries a tall war-standard topped with a skull finial and hung with a ragged, torn banner. In its other hand it raises a short orb-tipped sceptre, conveying a grim kind of ceremonial authority. The detail across the mail, the layered pauldrons, and the skeletal fingers gripping the pole makes this a genuinely rewarding miniature to paint — washes, drybrushing, and spot colour on the cape will all sing.
As both a gaming piece and a display model, the Bannerman earns its place. On the table it marks out a command element, a wight lieutenant, or even the focus of a Blight or Undead encounter.
