Description

The thunder of hooves that should not sound, the whistle of an arrow loosed by fingers stripped to bone — the skeletal cavalry have come, and the living have nowhere to run.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Few sights on the battlefield inspire dread quite like an undead mounted archer — no fatigue, no fear, no mercy, and enough momentum to ride down a shield wall without breaking stride. This skeletal cavalryman sits astride a bony warhorse barded in armoured plating, the beast's exposed ribcage and grinning skull head making it as unsettling as its rider. The archer wears a wide-brimmed hat and quilted scale armour, and is caught mid-draw — longbow raised, arrow nocked, a quiver of shafts strapped across its back. It is a sculpt full of kinetic energy: there is nothing static about this miniature.

The detail across both rider and mount rewards a patient painter. The warhorse's skeletal legs and articulated spine sit alongside surviving armour panels and barding, while the rider's bony hands grip the bow with unsettling precision. Spend time picking out the individual vertebrae of the mount's tail or the individual scales on the archer's torso and you will have a showpiece that draws eyes on any shelf or gaming table.

This miniature comes on a generously sized 51mm base, giving the mounted pair the room they need to look their most imposing — choose the plain base option if you prefer to work with your own basing scheme.

Well-suited to adventurers who:

  • Are running undead campaigns, skeleton hordes, or lich-commanded armies
  • Need mounted cavalry threats that will genuinely unsettle their players
  • Love the challenge of painting fine bone detail across a large, complex sculpt
  • Want a statement display piece for a gothic horror or Ravenloft-inspired shelf
  • Play Rangers or Paladins who've faced — or perhaps command — the armies of the dead

Encounter Hook

The party crests the ridge at dusk to find the valley below filled with the sound of dry hooves on stone. Three skeletal cavalry archers flank a bone-white barrow mound, circling in tightening rings — and each time an arrow sings from one of those ancient bows, a torch on the caravan below goes dark. The merchant's gold won't matter if no one makes it through the night.
