Shield Maiden (Freya) by DM Stash

- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
Freya is a Shield Maiden sculpted with the kind of lived-in detail that tells a story before a single die is rolled. Her layered chainmail is intricately worked across shoulders and torso, cinched with a broad leather belt and accompanied by a draped scarf that speaks to long roads and hard weather. Her wooden shield bears the grain and wear of real use — this is not ceremonial armour, it is fighting kit — and her longsword is raised with the easy confidence of someone who has done this many times before. One boot is lifted mid-stride, and the ornate cobblestone base captures a moment of advance, not hesitation.
Sculpted with a long braid visible from behind and a focused, downward gaze, Freya carries the quiet authority of a character with history. She suits a fighter archetype — Battle Master, Champion, or Echo Knight — as naturally as she suits a veteran NPC or rival warrior your players might respect before they ever cross blades with her. Whether leading a warband or standing alone against something terrible, this sculpt carries genuine narrative weight.
Well-suited for adventurers who:
- Play female fighters, sword-and-board warriors, or Nordic-inspired player characters
- Want a named NPC with the presence of a faction commander or rival champion
- Run Norse, Viking-adjacent, or northern wilderness campaign settings
- Collect high-detail display pieces alongside their gaming miniatures
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at a ransacked village to find a single survivor — a young woman clutching a broken shield, describing the warrior who drove the raiders off alone and then walked north without a word. Three days later, on the frozen road to the glacier fortress, they see her ahead of them, sword already drawn.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The miniature and decorative display base are separate pieces — the sculpt is designed to interact with the base, and the two look their best assembled. The base features ornate floral relief detail around the rim. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming. Supports are removed prior to dispatch; as with all resin printing, minor marks are occasionally possible and easily cleaned up.
