This listing covers two distinct sculpts from Epic Miniatures' Shattered Ghost Lamp set — a haunted sorcerer mid-transformation and a fully manifested ghost — and each one tells a different chapter of the same dark story.

The first sculpt shows a pale-haired sorcerer in a tattered, web-clasped coat, legs lifted as though dragged aloft by the spectral mass erupting beneath him. Ghostly clawed hands and wraith-like tendrils coil upward from the base, clutching at his body as he reaches forward — one hand raised in a desperate or commanding gesture. A broken lantern swings from his left hand, its shattered frame still trailing chains. The detail on the billowing coat, the skeletal ghost-hands, and the tormented expression make this a showpiece for any painter who loves blending pale ethereal tones into something truly unsettling.

The second sculpt is the ghost in full form — a billowing, tattered mass of spectral energy with dozens of shredded tendrils trailing outward and downward. The face emerges from the top of the mass, hollow-eyed and anguished, arms outstretched as though grasping for something just out of reach. Every surface is alive with flowing, fibrous texture that will reward dry-brushing and glazing techniques with extraordinary depth.

Together, these two sculpts work brilliantly as a before-and-after narrative: the sorcerer in the moment of possession, and the ghost that remains when the humanity is gone. Use them separately in different encounters, or deploy both together to represent a phased BBEG or haunted NPC with a tragic arc.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Need a ghostly sorcerer or warlock figure with serious visual drama
  • Are running gothic horror, Ravenloft, or graveyard-set campaigns
  • Want an undead BBEG or cursed NPC with a distinctive presence on the table
  • Love painting ethereal, spectral effects and want a sculpt that rewards the effort
  • Are building a display piece centred on possession, tragedy, or transformation

Encounter Hook: The party has been hired to retrieve a ghost-lamp stolen from a temple of Kelemvor. They track it to the estate of a once-respected scholar who broke the lamp open in his study, convinced its bound spirit held forbidden knowledge. When they find him, he is barely there — suspended in the air above a tide of ghostly hands, reciting the name of a dead god in a voice that is no longer his own. The lamp lies in pieces on the floor. The real question is whether anything of the scholar is still worth saving.
