Description

He was a nobleman once — now he is something that remembers being one, his form unravelling into ribbons of spectral shadow as the last of his mortality tears itself free.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Shattered Ghost occupies that unnerving space between the living and the dead — not yet a wraith, no longer a man. The sculpt captures him mid-transformation: his upper half still reads as a composed, long-haired figure in a traveller's coat and buckled boots, one hand extended as if reaching for something he can no longer grasp, a short blade held loosely in the other. But from the waist downward, his form explodes into a cascading mass of tattered spectral tendrils, feathered and frayed like cloth caught in an eternal gale, pooling and curling across the base in a ghostly surge of ethereal energy.

The detail across both halves of the sculpt is striking in its contrast. The living half features carefully rendered fabric folds, layered coat buttons, and tousled windswept hair. The spectral half is a masterwork of layered flowing forms — each tendril textured with fine surface ripples that will reward careful drybrushing or OSL techniques. Photographed here in grey resin from multiple angles, the rear view in particular reveals the sheer sculptural ambition of the piece: from behind, the figure is almost entirely consumed by the ghostly mass, a haunting silhouette of something lost.

Whether you use him as a ghost, specter, wraith, revenant, or the lingering echo of a fallen BBEG, the Shattered Ghost brings genuine narrative weight to any encounter.

A particularly good fit for adventurers who:

  • Run Ravenloft or Shadowfell campaigns where the boundary between life and death is blurred
  • Need a visually distinctive ghost or specter that reads immediately as threatening and tragic
  • Want a mini that rewards careful painting — layered washes and OSL on the spectral tendrils will look extraordinary
  • Are building a haunt-themed encounter or a ghostly aristocrat villain for their campaign
  • Collect display-quality undead miniatures with serious sculptural character

Encounter Hook

The party is hired to cleanse the Ashvane estate of a restless presence. They expect a simple haunting. What greets them in the portrait gallery is Lord Calder Ashvane himself — or what remains of him — drifting towards them with one arm extended and his lower half dissolving into writhing shadow, whispering the name of the man who poisoned him. He does not know he is dead. He is about to make that everyone's problem.
