Part locomotive, part legend, the Shadowline Express is a centrepiece terrain piece that brings an entire narrative with it the moment it hits the table. Based on the Snowbound Mysteries collection by Great Grimoire, this ornate steam engine is detailed with snowflake motifs on the boiler and wheel spokes, festive garland trim along the passenger car, diamond-panel bodywork, and a curious cloud-shaped finial crowning the smokestack. The sculpt captures that particular flavour of cosy-yet-ominous winter fantasy — something equal parts Yuletide wonder and creeping dread.
The model arrives as a locomotive and attached passenger carriage in one solid piece, showing both front and rear aspects with the same level of craft throughout. Whether your campaign is rooted in a steampunk winter realm, a Feywild holiday gone wrong, or a city where a very strange train keeps arriving at midnight, this piece gives your players something to look at — and worry about.

Encounter Hook:
It's the third night of the midwinter festival, and a train has arrived at the station that no one scheduled — its windows lit, its engine running, and a single door standing open. The stationmaster swears the Shadowline Express was decommissioned forty years ago. The party can hear music from inside.
The model is scaled to 35mm. If you'd like it adjusted to 32mm scale, get in touch and we'll see what we can arrange. A decorative base option is available — if selected, please include a note with your order specifying which of the three base styles you'd like. The base (decorative or plain black) is supplied separately for easy attachment with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all resin terrain of this complexity, minor surface marks may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up before painting. The model is fully cured and ready to prime.
