Jin Shi is no mere foot soldier. This serpentfolk warlord carries himself with the cold authority of a commander who has crushed a hundred campaigns beneath his scaled heel. Clad in layered scale armour adorned with serpentine dragon motifs, a broad sash cinched at the waist, and traditional eastern court sandals, he stands in a wide, rooted combat stance — dao blade drawn low in one hand, the other extended with fingers splayed, mid-command or mid-technique. His hair is pulled into a high topknot, and every detail of the sculpt — from the braided cord at his hip to the cracked stone cobblestones of his scenic base — speaks to a character of rank, discipline, and lethal precision. This is a miniature built for the front of the battlefield or the front of your display shelf.
Part of DM Stash's An Eastern Journey collection, Jin Shi slots naturally into any campaign drawing on eastern mythology, feudal empire aesthetics, or serpentfolk politics. Use him as a recurring antagonist, a rival warlord, or the cold-blooded enforcer of a yuan-ti bloodline — his pose and bearing carry weight at any table.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Are running eastern-themed or yuan-ti-centred D&D or Pathfinder campaigns
- Need a commanding, visually distinct serpentfolk leader for a boss encounter
- Enjoy painting highly detailed character miniatures with layered armour and fabric textures
- Collect display miniatures from independent fantasy sculptors
Encounter Hook:
The treaty negotiations were meant to last three days. On the second morning, the party finds the ambassador dead — a single diagonal blade wound across the chest — and a folded note bearing only a serpent's seal. Jin Shi is not here to parley. He is here to demonstrate, very clearly, who holds power in this province.

What's included:
Jin Shi is printed at 32mm scale. The decorative scenic cobblestone base is included as a separate piece and can be attached with super glue — the sculpt is designed to complement the base, so we recommend using it. The miniature arrives unpainted and ready for priming, painting, or use straight from the box. As with all hand-finished resin miniatures, minor surface marks from the printing process may occasionally be present and are easily addressed with light sanding.
