Yamarochi no Yomi is the Serpent of the Underworld: an eight-headed kaiju-scale horror drawn from the depths of Japanese myth and given terrifying form. Its coiling body is a mass of overlapping scales and segmented muscle, wound around the ruins of a fallen torii gate and ancient stonework, while each of its heads rears independently — some roaring open-mawed, some bearing antler-like horns, one wreathed in flame-like mane, and one bearing a tattered war banner aloft. This is a creature that doesn't simply fill the table — it commands it. The sculpt captures each head with its own character and expression, layered across a composition that reads dramatically from every angle, making it as compelling on a display shelf as it is at the centre of a climactic encounter.
For Dungeon Masters running campaigns with an Eastern-inspired flavour — or anyone seeking a god-tier BBEG that doesn't feel like anything else in their collection — Yamarochi no Yomi is a set piece that earns its place in the lore. Draw from the Yamata no Orochi of Shinto legend, or build something entirely your own around this ancient, many-headed god of death and ruin.
A great choice for adventurers who:
- Need a campaign-defining BBEG or deity-level boss encounter
- Are running Eastern-inspired, mythpunk, or spirit-world campaigns
- Want a display centrepiece with genuine sculptural presence
- Are building a monster collection with creatures that carry their own story
Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to retrieve a stolen war banner from an ancient shrine. When they find it, it is already clutched in the jaws of Yamarochi no Yomi — the serpent god, newly stirred from centuries of slumber beneath the mountain, wearing it like a trophy. It has eight heads. They have one short rest left.
Details
What's included: Yamarochi no Yomi is printed at 32mm scale. The model and its scenic base are printed as separate pieces and can be attached with super glue — the coiled body interacts directly with the base, so we recommend displaying it as intended for full effect. This is a large, complex sculpt; some minor cleanup may be needed, which is standard for pieces of this scale and detail.

The miniatures are made with care. The cats are made with attitude. Both are features, not bugs.
