Vyranth the Serpent King is a commanding, theatrically posed BBEG sculpt from Primal Collectibles' Tales of Kreyvos setting — and he looks every bit the part of a sorcerer-king who has spent centuries bending serpents and mortals alike to his will. Arms outstretched, fingers curled with arcane menace, he radiates the kind of dangerous authority that makes entire parties reconsider their plans.
The sculpt is rich in serpent iconography throughout. A live cobra winds up from one forearm and rears beside his head, while a second serpent coils around the decorated base alongside a scattered skull — a clear signal that Vyranth's court has a high turnover rate. His layered robes are embossed with scale-like panels and geometric knotwork borders, and a broad belt buckle bears a striking cobra-head motif. The detailing reads cleanly at 32mm scale and rewards careful brush work on robes, metallic trim, and the cobras themselves.
Three variation poses are available — each places Vyranth in a slightly different stance and base arrangement, with varying base scatter elements (coiled serpent and skulls, ruined column, and alternate footing positions). This allows adventurers to select the exact version that suits their table or display vision, and collecting all three creates a compelling range of in-world moments for this villain.
Whether you're building toward a climactic throne room confrontation, running a serpent-cult campaign arc, or simply want a genuinely characterful display piece, Vyranth delivers the presence of a true campaign antagonist.
Vyranth suits adventurers who:
- Need a charismatic, high-detail BBEG for a swamp, jungle, or ancient-ruin campaign
- Are running a Yuan-Ti, serpent cult, or Naga-adjacent story arc
- Want a display piece that commands attention on any shelf
- Play D&D 5e, Pathfinder, or any system that benefits from a show-stopping villain miniature
Encounter Hook
The party finally breaches the inner sanctum of the Kreyvos temple — and finds Vyranth standing atop the obsidian altar, arms wide, as a dozen cobras pour from the drainage channels around him. He does not reach for a weapon. He doesn't need to. "I have been expecting your kind," he says, and the serpents begin to move.
