Description

It does not speak. It does not move. It simply listens — and somewhere beneath the pile of bones it coils upon, something is still screaming.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Listener is one of those creatures that defies easy categorisation. Part demon, part something older and far less understood, it rises from a charnel throne of skulls and broken bones with an unnerving stillness. Its exposed ribcage and spinal column are flanked by grotesquely elongated arms ending in raking claws, while its horned, hollow-faced skull tilts as though catching sounds no living creature should be able to hear. The lower body dissolves into a writhing mass of fused flesh and skulls — half serpentine, half something born from a nightmare about anatomy. This is not a creature that charges. It waits. And that is so much worse.

For Dungeon Masters, The Listener works brilliantly as a unique fiend, a demon lord's herald, or the physical manifestation of a cursed location. Its hollow, attentive posture reads immediately on the tabletop — players will know something is deeply wrong before you've said a word. The sculpt is packed with surface detail across every angle: striated muscle on the back, rows of orifices across the chest, and a base scattered with recognisable skulls and bones that tells its own grim story. Equally at home in a horror-themed display cabinet as it is anchoring a climactic encounter.

For adventurers who:

  • Need a distinctive boss monster or summoned horror for a fiend-themed campaign arc
  • Want a centrepiece miniature that holds its own as a display piece between sessions
  • Are running underdark, abyssal, or corrupted temple encounters and want something truly unsettling at the table
  • Enjoy painting deeply textured creature sculpts with bone, sinew, and exposed anatomy

Encounter Hook:
The party's divination ritual succeeds — but the moment the spell takes hold, every skull in the crypt turns to face them. From beneath the altar, The Listener slowly unfolds itself upright, tilting its hollow head as though it has been expecting them for quite some time. It has heard everything they ever said in the dark.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. The miniature and decorative base are separate pieces — the base is heavily detailed with skulls and bones, and the model is sculpted to interact with it, so we recommend attaching both with superglue for the full effect. Arrives unpainted and ready for priming. As with all hand-finished pieces, minor marks from the printing process may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up before painting.
