Ophiel is no merciful herald. She is a seraph of judgment — a celestial figure whose vast feathered wings fan outward like the mantle of some terrible and ancient authority. Her face is covered by a divine hand, eyes sealed from the world of mortals, and in her other hand she cradles a skull with quiet, damning certainty. A great rune-etched sword rests at her side, not raised in battle but present as a reminder that her verdict has already been rendered.
The sculpt is extraordinarily rich in surface detail. Her breastplate is layered with ornate relief work, her scale-mail skirt cascades to the base in carefully rendered rows, and every feather across her multiple wing layers is individually defined. The spiked halo rises behind her head, and the reverse of the sculpt reveals a fearsome visage worked into the crown of feathers — a face within the wings, watching where Ophiel herself will not. The decorative base features scattered ruins and arcane stonework that grounds her in a world she has come to witness rather than protect.
Available at 32mm for the gaming table and in a large-scale 75mm variant for display painting — both are multipart sculpts with a choice of decorative or plain base, giving painters full flexibility over how they present her.
A strong match for adventurers who:
- Run celestial campaigns where divine power is ambiguous or morally complex
- Need a powerful BBEG or fallen angel figure to anchor a heavenly arc
- Want a centrepiece miniature that rewards careful, layered painting
- Collect dark celestial or angelic character sculpts for display
- Are building an encounter around divine judgment, fate, or prophecy
Encounter Hook
The party arrives at the ruined shrine of a long-dead god to find Ophiel standing motionless at its centre, wings spread, sword grounded in the cracked flagstones. She does not acknowledge them. A voice that seems to come from everywhere and nowhere announces that one among them has already been judged — and that Ophiel is merely here to collect. The party has until dawn to determine which of them she has come for, and why.
