Description

Someone slept here — and left in a hurry, armoured boots half-kicked off, a small chest abandoned beside the rumpled bedroll.

  • ✔ Resin terrain piece, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
  • ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
  • ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama

This Scholar's Bedroll scatter piece tells a story without a single word of narration. A thick, stitched bedroll lies spread across the ground, its surface textured with the roughness of weathered fabric. Tumbled beside it: a pair of articulated armoured boots and a small rectangular chest, its lid slightly ajar. Whether the owner fled in the night, was dragged away mid-rest, or simply forgot something valuable on their way out — that's a question for your players to answer.

Scatter terrain like this transforms a flat grid into a place with history. Drop it in a mercenary's bunk room, a dungeon hideout, a roadside campsite, or a ransacked scholar's quarters, and suddenly the room has a story before anyone rolls initiative. It's equally at home as part of a diorama or display shelf, giving painters a compact but character-rich piece to work with.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Want to add narrative detail and atmosphere to encounter maps
  • Are building immersive dungeon rooms, camp scenes, or abandoned lodgings
  • Enjoy painting character-rich scatter terrain for display dioramas
  • Need props that spark player curiosity and drive investigation

Encounter Hook:
The party enters the barracks to find it empty — but someone's gear is still here. The bedroll is warm to the touch. The boots are still laced. The chest is open and whatever was inside is gone. A DC 13 Investigation check reveals drag marks leading towards the back wall, where the stonework doesn't quite line up.

Supplied as a single scenic piece at 32mm scale. The base is integrated into the sculpt. Supports are removed prior to dispatch; as with all resin printing, minor marks may occasionally remain and can be tidied up easily before priming. Supplied unpainted and ready for your brushes — or use it straight from the box for a clean, unprimed table presence.
