- ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted — ideal as a centrepiece painting project
- ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions
This orc pirate captain bust is a portrait of salt-seasoned brutality rendered in extraordinary detail. His wide-brimmed tricorn is etched with ornate scrollwork — the kind of finery stolen rather than earned — and his open, roaring mouth reveals tusks and a ferocity that hasn't dimmed with age. A heavy cutlass is clutched in one hand, a pistol grip visible at his side, and his coat bears the brass-buttoned trappings of a naval officer who made his rank by force rather than commission. The back of the sculpt is equally considered: a billowing coat caught mid-stride tells the story of a figure always moving forward, always taking.
As a bust, this piece is sculpted to showcase expression, texture, and painting ambition rather than tabletop combat use. The face alone — with its battle-worn grimace and deep-set eyes — offers a miniature painter a genuinely compelling centrepiece challenge. Whether displayed on a shelf or used as visual inspiration for a campaign villain, this is the kind of piece that commands a room.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Want a characterful display bust to showcase their painting skills
- Are building a nautical or pirate-themed miniature collection
- Need a memorable villain, patron, or NPC face for a seafaring campaign
- Love detailed facial sculpts and expressive character work
Encounter Hook:
The players have been hired to retrieve stolen shipping manifests from a pirate flotilla anchored in a fog-choked bay. When they finally board the flagship and kick open the captain's cabin door, they find him already standing — roaring orders into the dark, cutlass in hand, coat billowing in the sea wind — as if he knew they were coming all along.
Details
This is a display bust, supplied unpainted in grey resin at approximately 32mm scale equivalent. It comes with a sculpted plinth-style base as shown. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all resin pieces, minor marks may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up before painting.
