This is Scarecrow 04 from Yasashii Kyojin Studio, and it is one of the most characterful construct sculpts we carry. Across three distinct poses, this unsettling figure captures the uncanny energy of an animated guardian built from fear as much as straw and sinew. One variant raises a wicked curved scythe overhead in a downward strike, claws splayed and robes billowing — raw, feral menace in every line. Another holds a long nodachi-style blade cocked back in a wide stance, masked face forward and legs braced, the posture of something that has studied how warriors move and learned only the lethality. The third sweeps a great scythe low across the body in a pivoting arc, unbalanced and unpredictable, feathered robes fanning out around rope-bound limbs.
Each pose shares the same core design language — layered textile robes with deep ridged folds, rope bindings at the wrists, knees and ankles, talon-like feet, and a hollow-masked head with no eyes to betray intent. These are constructs that read as deeply unsettling at a glance and reward closer inspection on the paint table. Whether you are statting them up as animated constructs, cursed scarecrow guardians, or something stranger and more folkloric, they bring genuine presence to the encounter mat — and look equally at home on a display shelf.
Sculpted for adventurers who:
- Need a construct or guardian enemy that feels genuinely threatening rather than mechanical
- Are running a harvest-festival horror arc, a cursed manor campaign, or a fey-tinged Ravenloft session
- Want three dynamic, paint-ready poses to deploy as a group encounter or spread across multiple encounters
- Collect atmospheric display pieces alongside their gaming minis
Encounter Hook:
The village elder warned the party not to enter the old Harvestmoor estate after dark — but no one mentioned the three figures standing motionless in the dried-out field at its edge, scythes raised, heads slowly turning to track their approach one by one.
Scarecrow 04 is printed at 32mm scale and comes in three pose variants (available individually or as a set). A plain black base can be selected at checkout — it arrives unattached and can be fixed in place with a small amount of glue. Each miniature is produced to a high standard with supports removed; minor marks from the printing process are possible and can be tidied up easily before priming.
