Ranacio cuts a striking figure: curling horns rise from a mane of tight ringlets, and his lean frame is dressed in layered travelling attire — a ribbed shoulder cape, a studded leather kilt, and bracers wound tight around his forearms. His goat-legged lower half is thick with dense fur, cloven hooves planted firmly on a cobbled base scattered with small mushrooms and dried leaves. In one hand he carries an elegantly curved shortbow, its limbs sweeping in graceful scrollwork, and his stance — one hand braced on his hip, weight easy and assured — speaks of someone who has never once needed to prove himself and knows it.

A sculpt with genuine character, Ranacio works equally well as a player character Ranger or Rogue, a Feywild-touched NPC, or a memorable recurring figure in a campaign that brushes against the wild places of the world. As a display piece, the detail in the fur texture, the chain necklace, and the sculpted base reward careful painting at every level.

Encounter Hook:
The party has been wandering the Whisperwood for two days when they hear the unmistakable sound of a stringed instrument drifting through the mist. Following it to a mossy clearing, they find Ranacio of Havenmond sitting atop a fallen trunk, bow across his knees — and behind him, the bodies of three fey hunters who came looking for something they evidently didn't find. He says nothing at first. He just watches. Then: "You're heading the wrong way. I know where you actually need to go."

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. The decorative cobblestone base — scattered with small mushrooms and forest debris — is printed separately and attaches easily. Ranacio interacts with his base in a way that looks its best when displayed together. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all hand-checked prints, minor surface marks are possible and easily tidied prior to painting. Ready for priming straight away.
