Ancient beyond reckoning, Old Barkhorn is a satyr druid who has long since crossed the boundary between mortal wisdom and something far older and stranger. His robes are woven from living leaves and layered bark, his broad shoulders draped in a great mantle of overlapping foliage that fans out like the canopy of a primordial oak. Twin gnarled horns crown his bark-textured face, and his eyes carry the cold patience of deep woodland. In one hand he grips a towering living staff — a still-growing vine twisted into a great spiralling column — while the other reaches outward, fingers splayed around a clutch of thorned branches, channelling something older than any druid circle's magic.

This is not a character who wanders into a story by accident. Old Barkhorn arrives with purpose, trailing the scent of ancient soil and the faint creak of wood settling at night. He serves brilliantly as a powerful NPC druid elder, a Feywild court guardian, a patron who gifts quests as cryptically as riddles, or — if your party has been rather careless with fire in the forest — a formidable antagonist. The sculpt's extraordinary textural detail, from individually defined leaf scales across the mantle to the fibrous bark-like skin on his legs, rewards careful painting and makes for a striking display piece even straight from the base.
