From DM Stash's A Grim Fate eldritch adventure setting comes the Sarcophagus Mimic — one of the more unsettling takes on the classic shapeshifter. This sculpt forgoes the familiar treasure-chest form entirely, instead depicting a bloated, crab-like horror that has adopted the shape of a stone coffin. Its wide, fang-lined maw gapes open across the centre of the model, framed by warty, pustule-pocked flesh and flanked by armoured chitinous limbs ending in serrated claws. Two pale, bulbous eyestalks protrude from the top of the mass, giving the creature an air of awful sentience. The base is textured with plague-veined stonework, tying the creature firmly to the diseased streets of Canos.

Encounter Hook:
The party enters the burial hall of a forgotten noble family — a dozen stone sarcophagi line the walls, each sealed and undisturbed. The cleric's detect magic pings once, briefly, then goes silent. It came from the third coffin on the left. The lid is slightly open. It wasn't open a moment ago.
Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and decorative base are separate pieces; the creature interacts with the base sculpt and looks its best when attached with a small amount of super glue. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming — the detail holds up beautifully whether you're drybrushing stone tones or going all-in on bioluminescent rot effects. Minor surface marks from the printing process are possible; these are easily tidied up before painting.
