  • ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama

This is the third variation in our Sarcophagus scatter terrain range by Novaminis, and it brings a distinctly arcane quality to any dungeon, tomb, or graveyard encounter. Every surface of this rectangular stone coffin is covered in deep-carved swirling glyphs and interlocking scroll-work — the kind of markings that suggest a deliberate warding ritual, or perhaps an inscription that was never meant to be read aloud. The separate lid sits cleanly atop the base piece, allowing you to position it closed, ajar, or fully removed depending on what your encounter demands.

Whether it belongs in a lich's vault, an ancient necropolitan crypt, or the overgrown grounds of a forgotten temple, this piece adds immediate environmental storytelling to your table. Equally at home as a display piece or a functional terrain element, it pairs well across undead-heavy campaigns, Ravenloft-style gothic settings, or any dungeon crawl where atmosphere matters as much as the monster stat block.

Useful for adventurers who:

  • Need detailed scatter terrain for graveyard, crypt, or dungeon encounters
  • Are running undead-heavy campaigns and want evocative environmental props
  • Want a display-worthy terrain piece that photographs well for actual play content
  • Are building a gothic or Ravenloft-inspired table layout

Encounter Hook:
The party finds the sarcophagus bearing the name of the very cleric who hired them — dated thirty years in the future. The lid is already open, and inside lies a single fresh white flower, still warm to the touch.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base is unattached and can be fixed in place with a small amount of glue. The lid is a separate piece, letting you choose how to stage the model. Arrives ready for priming and painting, or use it straight from the box for unpainted terrain.
