Description

In the deep forests where the veil between the mortal world and the Feywild grows thin, there are knights who wear no crown of iron — only antlers, and the weight of an ancient oath.

  • ✔ Large-scale display bust — significantly bigger than standard 32mm
  • ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — ideal as a centrepiece painting project
  • ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions

This is the Dancer Bust from Witchsong Miniatures' Santa's Coursers range — a deeply characterful display piece depicting an armoured cervid warrior, part stag, part sentinel. The sculpt captures a proud, weathered bearing: a detailed deer head with sweeping, branching antlers rises above layered plate armour decorated with natural motifs — leaf forms, curved edges, and a texture that speaks of both the forge and the forest. The fur at the neck is rendered with fine, naturalistic detail, while the pauldrons and chest carry an almost ceremonial weight, suggesting a guardian of something ancient and important.

Mounted on a sturdy decorative plinth base, the Dancer Bust is designed to be painted and displayed. It rewards careful brushwork — from the subtle gradients of antler ivory to the deep shadows of engraved armour — and makes a centrepiece piece on any painter's shelf. For Dungeon Masters, this sculpt is a compelling visual reference for a Feywild emissary, a nature deity's champion, or a powerful NPC that players will remember long after the session ends.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Paint display busts and want a subject with exceptional surface texture and depth
  • Collect fantasy busts with a strong lore identity
  • Need a visual anchor for a Feywild patron, forest guardian, or cervid NPC in a D&D campaign
  • Want a showpiece that works equally well on a gaming shelf or a painter's display board

Encounter Hook:
The party has been tasked with seeking an audience with the Warden of the Thornwood — a being spoken of in hushed tones by every druid in the region. When they finally reach the forest's heart, they find not a monster but a knight in antlered armour, seated upon a root throne, watching them with the calm certainty of something that has never once needed to raise its voice.

The cats have used their bonus action to look judgmental. As always, it was very effective.
