This two-piece set from Great Grimoire tells a story before a single die is rolled. The first pose captures a lean, battle-worn sailor mid-stride on a sandy beach base, hauling a serpentine siren's tail — a creature half-felled, half-escaped — as a ghostly draconic shadow looms behind him in the original render. He wears nothing but tattered cloth wrappings, a hook prosthetic, and years of hard experience carved into every muscle and scar. The second sculpt shows the same man in a more composed moment: balanced on a stone, a seabird perched on his shoulder, hook in hand, looking every inch the weathered mariner with secrets he's not sharing.
Together these two poses offer a remarkably versatile NPC — a survivor, a monster hunter, a man who has clearly pulled something dangerous from the deep and lived to tell the tale. Whether you run him as a quest-giver with knowledge of coastal ruins, a retired sailor haunted by what swims beneath, or an unexpected ally with a very specific set of skills, this set earns its place at the table and on the shelf.
Well-suited for adventurers who:
- Need a compelling maritime NPC with a visual story built in
- Run coastal, island, or seafaring campaigns
- Want a display-worthy collector's piece that doubles as a gaming mini
- Are building a port town full of characters with lived-in histories
- Appreciate fine sculptural detail on both figure and base
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at a remote fishing village to find the docks deserted — except for one old man sitting on a bollard, turning a siren's scale over in his hook-hand. He doesn't look up when they approach. "You're here about the disappearances," he says flatly. "Good. I've been waiting for someone stupid enough to help."
This set is printed at 35mm scale. If you'd prefer 32mm scaling, drop us a message and we'll sort it out. A decorative base option is available — if you select it, please send a note letting us know which base style you'd like. Bases arrive separate for easy attachment with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch; while we quality-check every piece, minor marks from the printing process are possible and can be cleaned up with ease.
