Sailor 02 by Novaminis is the second variation in their sailor series — and where Sailor 01 might hold the line, this one looks like he's already decided where the fight is going. He stands bare-chested and weather-worn, a thick beard framing a face that's seen too many ports, a cloth headband keeping the salt-spray out of his eyes. In one hand he clutches what appears to be a bottle — the kind you drink from before things go sideways. In the other, slung low across his body, is a long boarding spear with a hooked tip, the weapon of a man who fights in close quarters on rolling decks.

The laced leather trousers and heavy buckled boots speak to someone who works hard and dresses for function, not fashion. His pose is loose and confident — weight shifted, ready to move — the stance of a brawler who's been in enough scraps not to bother with a formal guard. As a second variation in the range, this sculpt offers a notably different silhouette and weapon loadout to Sailor 01, making the two a natural pair for crewing out a ship's deck scene or populating a dockside tavern fight.

Whether he's a grizzled boatswain, a mutinous crewman, a pirate veteran, or an old sea dog pressed back into service, this mini brings the lived-in grit of a life at sea to the table.

A good fit for adventurers who want to:

  • Populate a nautical encounter with distinct, characterful NPCs
  • Run pirate campaigns with a believable ship crew
  • Field a seasoned sailor as a Fighter or Barbarian player character
  • Build a dockside tavern brawl scene with varied sculpts
  • Add a gruff maritime mercenary to their display collection

Encounter Hook: The party's ship has been boarded in the night — and the first figure to swing down from the rigging isn't a captain or officer. It's this one, bottle already half-gone, boarding spear levelled, grinning like a man with nothing left to lose. The crew behind him is taking their cue from his confidence.
