The sahuagin are not merely raiders — they are zealots, utterly convinced of their dominion over every creature that breathes beneath the waves. This warrior embodies that conviction. Lunging forward in a low, predatory crouch, one arm reaches forward with raking claws while the mouth hangs open in a battle-shriek, the dorsal fin fanning wide behind a head ringed with sharp, bony spines. Scaled across the legs and arms, with webbed feet gripping the ground, this is a creature built for violence in two worlds — equally lethal whether it's charging down a pier or surging up through the hull of a ship.
The sculpt captures that uncomfortable quality that makes sahuagin so effective as antagonists: they are humanoid enough to feel intelligent, monstrous enough to feel like a genuine threat. Painted in deep greens, ocean blues or brine-grey, this piece will hold its own at the centre of a raiding party encounter or as a lone predator lurking in a flooded dungeon corridor.
- Adventurers running coastal campaigns or sea-voyage arcs that need a credible aquatic threat
- Dungeon Masters staging flooded dungeon encounters or underwater temple raids
- Painters who want richly textured scales, fins and claws to work with
- Collectors building out a deep-sea or oceanic creature display
Encounter Hook
The tide has gone out further than anyone in the fishing village can remember — and it hasn't come back. On the third night, the party finds a trail of webbed footprints leading from the water's edge to the smokehouse door. Something has been watching. Something has been counting. And as the moon rises over the harbour, the first of them breaks the surface.
