The Sahuagin Warrior is caught mid-lunge — one clawed hand raking downward, the other arm thrust upward with a morsel of prey pinched between its fingers, a gesture that reads as equal parts taunt and threat. The sculpt carries dense, overlapping scale texture across the entire body, with pronounced dorsal spines fanning out from the spine and a crown of sharp cranial spines that give the head a jagged, almost crested silhouette. The jaws are parted wide in a ferocious open-mouthed snarl that shows rows of serrated teeth. Broad webbed feet plant firmly on the base in a wide, low fighting stance that communicates predatory confidence.
Sahuagin make outstanding encounter material for any campaign that brushes against open water — a coastal fishing village under siege, a merchant vessel boarded in the dead of night, or a flooded dungeon level claimed by a local war-band. This sculpt by MZ4250 captures the creature's aggression without sacrificing fine surface detail, making it equally rewarding to paint as it is to field in combat.
Brilliant for adventurers who:
- Run coastal, island-hopping, or underwater campaigns
- Need a low-CR marine threat that still looks genuinely menacing on the table
- Want a characterful centrepiece for a Sahuagin raiding party
- Enjoy painting scaled creatures with rich textural variety across the sculpt
Encounter Hook: A fishing hamlet on the Sword Coast has gone silent — no boats out, shutters drawn in daylight. The party arrives to find the docks slick with brine and claw marks gouged deep into the wood. As they investigate the harbormaster's office, the tide rushes in and the warrior surges up through a trapdoor that shouldn't lead anywhere near the sea.
